Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care in the Emergency Department. You will work as both a direct care provider and charge nurse, supervising assigned nursing staff while managing your own patient assignments. This role requires clinical leadership, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively under high-acuity conditions.
Shift & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (day shift)
- Schedule: 36–48 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based standards.
- Assess patients, analyze clinical data, and develop individualized care plans.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff at various levels.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure safe, compassionate care.
- Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
- Delegate tasks and manage team workflow efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California.
- Minimum two years recent emergency department or acute care experience.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Physical & Professional Requirements
- Valid state nursing license and immunization compliance per facility policy.
