Night Shift RN – Med-Surg/Tele
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This is a 13-week contract with three consecutive 12-hour shifts per week.
Clinical Details
You'll care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing patients across a range of acuities. Your scope will include standard nursing interventions, patient assessment, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- 12 months of permanent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Current RN license: Permanent Ohio license or Compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (NIHSS preferred)
- One recent professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty — required to qualify for submission
- Background check clearance (no open cases); BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
Pre-Start Expectations
- Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate competency assessments (two attempts maximum to pass)
- Annual hands-on competency requirements apply for longer assignments
- Pre-start modules required (6–15 hours average)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Contract Terms
- 13-week assignment with extension options available up to 18 months
