Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN — Boston, MA | 8-Week Contract

This is a float pool position supporting a broad range of medical-surgical specialty units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, GU, orthopedics (hips and joints), oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular. Travel RNs are typically assigned to a single unit for 2–3 week stretches, though occasional short-notice unit assignments may occur.

Shift & Schedule

• Rotating days, evenings, and nights
• Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts across a 4-week cycle
• Every other weekend and holiday availability required
• No on-call required
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly

Clinical Scope

• 12-lead EKGs, telemetry monitoring, blood transfusions, Lasix drips
• Nebulizer administration (RN responsibility); ventilator management by Respiratory Therapy

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area preferred
• Basic computer proficiency and web-based application navigation
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of candidacy; no more than 3 days RTO; no holiday RTO
