Night Shift Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Oncology
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for night shifts in a Med/Surg Oncology unit.Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 18:30–07:00 (nights)
- Options: 3x12-hour, 4x12-hour, or flexible scheduling (36/36, 36/48, 48/48)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekends: Every other weekend; no call
- Float: As needed to other units
Requirements
- 2+ years of Med/Surg/Tele experience
- AHA BLS certification (required; must be AHA-issued)
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Relias EKG test completion within 72 hours of offer acceptance (two attempts allowed)
- Must live 100+ miles from the facility
- First-time travelers welcome
Clinical Skills
You'll perform port access and management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, IV starts, wound care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, PCA pump support, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
Orientation & Compliance
- Orientation begins Sundays; includes 16 hours of nonbillable online CBLs
- Drug test required 12–14 days prior to start
- Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing (CDC requirement)
- Participate in nursing student education and clinical support alongside patient care
