Cardiac Catheterization Lab Tech — Travel Assignment
Snellville, GA | 4x10 Days (07:00–17:30) | 16-Week Contract
This cardiac cath lab opportunity is suited for experienced technologists comfortable with high-acuity interventional procedures in an adult and geriatric population. First-time travelers are not accepted — a minimum of two years of cath lab experience is required.
Clinical Scope
The lab handles diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants. No EP studies or ablations are performed. Candidates must be proficient in EKG lead placement, sinus node rhythm interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile field maintenance, and vital sign acquisition. Pacemaker experience is preferred.
Certifications Required
- BLS, ACLS
- RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (CV)
Schedule & Coverage
- 4x10-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend required
- On-call: approximately 12–15 days/month, including 2 weekend call shifts (Sat/Sun); late stays as needed
- Float possible within the department, facility, and to a sister campus
Scrubs: Provided by the facility
Time Off
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- Holiday work is expected based on how many major holidays fall within the assignment period
Compliance
Full onboarding compliance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all documentation due the Tuesday prior to start. Delays result in a two-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
A clinical screening review is required prior to manager consideration.
Licensure: Georgia or Compact RN/tech license required at time of submission.
