Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 3 × 12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Contract Length: 13–26 weeks (36 or 48-hour contracts accepted)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float: Required as needed within the facility
• Orientation: 24 hours (hospital orientation required during week 1)
• Scrubs: Navy

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• First-time travelers welcome
• Charge experience preferred
• EKG testing required prior to start

Clinical Scope

You'll manage medical and surgical patients in a multi-level care environment with isolation areas for COVID patients. Key competencies include:

• Cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV insulin protocols and heparin drips
• Blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Non-invasive airway management
• PCA pump management

Additional Requirements

• Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off (auto-approved, excluding holidays)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• May be assigned to Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• NC or Compact license accepted (pending OK)
