Cardiac Catheterization Lab | Travel Position | Oakland, CA

4x10 Days | 13-Week Contract

This Cath Lab position places you in a high-acuity cardiac and interventional procedural setting, managing a diverse patient population with diagnoses including coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and peripheral arterial disease.

Schedule

• Day shift: 07:00–17:30 (4x10)
• One weekend rotation per month (Friday through Monday)
• On-call: 4–6 calls per week during the week

Clinical Scope

You will function across cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology, performing or assisting with:

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations (left/right heart, STEMI response, PCI)
• Structural heart procedures (TAVR, ASD/LAA closures, Watchman)
• EP studies, cardiac ablation, pacemaker and AICD insertion/programming
• Peripheral and vascular interventions (carotid stenting, renal artery stenting, IVC filter placement/removal, TIPS, embolization, thrombectomy)
• Interventional radiology procedures (nephrostomy, biliary drainage, gastrostomy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, PICC/central venous access)
• Hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

Required Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT (R)
• ACLS & BLS
• California Fluoroscopy Permit
• Valid California license (required at submission)

Preferred Certifications

• ARRT (CI)
• CCI RCIS

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/IR experience
• STEMI call experience required
• First-time travelers considered
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• 75-mile radius rule applies

Orientation is approximately 40 hours. Floating within the facility may be required.
