Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Location: Greeley, CO
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
Contract: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 23, 2026
About the Role
The facility's medical-surgical unit serves adult patients across a diverse range of diagnoses and acuity levels, including medical conditions, oncology, post-surgical recovery, and telemetry patients. You'll provide comprehensive bedside nursing care, manage pre- and post-operative patients, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care coordination and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Manage wound care, pain management, and post-operative recovery
- Provide care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (cardiac, respiratory, diabetes, and others)
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
- Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and nursing colleagues on plan of care
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado (or compact license)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- NIHSS certification required
- Ability to read telemetry strips
- Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing
- 1+ years of Med-Surg experience
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- CMSRN preferred
Schedule & Staffing
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation per unit schedule
- Expected to float to other campuses as needed to support facility operations
