Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a fast-paced cardiovascular and IR program. You'll work in both diagnostic and interventional settings, prioritizing patient safety, technical excellence, and teamwork.

Schedule & Commitment

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• On-call: 12 days per month, including weekends and holidays
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Clinical Scope

Cath Lab Procedures:

• Left and right heart catheterizations
• Pacemaker insertions
• Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support
• Impella device placement and support

Interventional Radiology Procedures:

• GI bleed embolizations
• Pulmonary embolism thrombectomies
• Kyphoplasties
• Drain and port placements
• Additional IR procedures as assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields
• Operate imaging equipment and ancillary devices
• Assist physicians with device preparation, placement, and troubleshooting
• Respond to emergent cases while on call
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control compliance
• Deliver high-quality patient care throughout the procedure continuum

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification (R, CV, and/or IR preferred)
• Strong experience in Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology
• Proficiency with sterile technique and imaging equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
