Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Asheville, NC.

Shift & Scheduling

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: October 12, 2026

Role Expectations

You'll work in a fast-paced emergency setting, managing acutely ill and injured patients across all age groups. Responsibilities include rapid patient assessment, , emergency care procedures, and collaboration with physicians, mid-level providers, and interdisciplinary teams. You'll handle high patient volumes and unpredictable acuity levels typical of an active ED.

Requirements

• Current RN license (NC)
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Emergency nursing experience preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• Flexibility and strong communication skills
