Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Progressive Care Unit on the night shift. You'll care for step-down patients in a structured, supportive environment focused on quality patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every other holiday off
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 23, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months permanent experience in PCU/step-down nursing
- Permanent Ohio nursing license or active compact state license (in hand at submission)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director required (from past 12 months; no peer references)
What to Expect
During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Both must be passed to continue employment. You'll receive up to 2 attempts on each.
Background & Compliance
- Background check and BCI/FBI fingerprints required within 48 hours of contract signing
- No open cases or license hits accepted
- Drug screening (10 panel) required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements
Extensions
You may extend with the facility for up to 18 months; a 6-month break typically follows.
