Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Night Shift RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This is a night shift position caring for high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Mandatory holiday coverage (at least every other holiday)
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in cardiovascular or critical care nursing
- Active RN license: Ohio state or current compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- Current certifications (active and in hand):
- BLS (American Red Cross)
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months (no peer references)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
Orientation & Assessments
During orientation, you will complete:
- ECG rhythm recognition test
- SafeMedicate assessment
- Acceptable scores on both are required to continue (maximum 2 attempts)
Additional Notes
- Background check and FBI/BCI clearance required within 48 hours of contract signing
- Drug screening required
