Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Assignment

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:30 | Night: 19:00–07:30)
• 5 patients per shift (days and nights)
• Weekend coverage required
• Float as needed within the facility
• 12 hours of orientation included

About the Role

You'll work in a busy telemetry unit managing a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. The majority of the census is telemetry-monitored; you may also receive mixed medical overflow patients.Clinical Scope

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
• Central line and port management
• Tracheostomy care
• High-flow nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Chest tube management
• Post-cardiac procedure care (angiogram, MI, TPA, cardiac surgery)
• Seizure and stroke (CVA) management
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip management (per protocol, no titration)
• Blood product administration
• Pacemaker care and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Renal failure and hemodialysis management

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent nursing experience
• Active PA or Compact license at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willing to float to sister facilities within 10 miles if needed

• Note: Local travelers within 50 miles not accepted
