Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This is a 16-week contract opportunity in a high-volume Emergency Department serving a richly diverse, multicultural community. The unit is known for its collaborative culture and team-oriented staff who take pride in welcoming and supporting both patients and colleagues.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No block scheduling; scheduling meets departmental needs
• Float within all sections of the ED; no floating outside the ED

Clinical Scope

The ED manages a broad range of medical and behavioral health presentations, including high-acuity and trauma cases. Nurses rotate through , cardiac monitoring, and internal processing areas. Techs and unit clerks support both day and night shifts.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an ED setting
• Prior experience in a high-volume, trauma-capable environment strongly preferred
• Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work all areas of the ED

Required Certifications (must be current prior to submission unless noted)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC — required before submission
• TNCC, CPI — required before start date
