Oncology/Women's Surgical Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the oncology and women's surgical unit as a Registered Nurse on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 26-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
You'll work in a collaborative environment with a small, stable team that rarely floats to other units. The unit performs procedures including pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis.
What You'll Do
- Manage chemotherapy administration and oncology-specific patient needs
- Collaborate with one charge nurse, 4–6 RNs, and 2 CNAs per shift
- Document in the facility's electronic health record system
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Oncology/chemotherapy certification preferred
Schedule & Expectations
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- On-call requirements are rare
- Six weekend days per schedule (per rotation)
- Minimal floating to other med-surg units
Dress Code
Navy, white, or combination of both colors for RNs.
