Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Duration: 13 weeks | Start: October 26, 2026

The facility is seeking an RN for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care to adults with a range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a monitored setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously; identify and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, wound management, and pain control
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency

Preferred:

• BSN (ADN accepted per facility policy)

Typical patient load: 4–6 patients per shift (varies by acuity).
