Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide care to diverse adult and pediatric patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Mid shifts: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM or 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• 91 guaranteed hours over the contract period

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• California RN license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (preferred)
• No DUI background hits
• Local candidates accepted

Clinical Scope

You'll manage combined adult and pediatric emergency patients with experience in trauma and acute care settings. Charting is done in Paragon; training will be provided.

Floating

You'll float in rotation with staff to other units as needed, with orientation provided per Joint Commission standards. ER staff are not required to float outside the department.

Onboarding

Within 30 days of your start date, you'll complete two onsite courses as part of your credentialing: Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card certifications.
