Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll provide care in a combined adult and pediatric setting, managing diverse patient presentations and acuity levels across Level I and II trauma cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00)
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (in hand at time of application)
- TNCC preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll care for adult and pediatric emergency patients, including trauma cases. Floating to other units may occur based on clinical competency and facility needs, with appropriate orientation provided.
Essential Information
- Charting system: Paragon (training provided)
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
- You must complete Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card courses onsite within 30 days of your start date
- Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with your application; post-offer requests are not approved
- Documentation deadline: 2 Mondays prior to start date
- Background check required; candidates with DUI history will not be considered
