Labor and Delivery – Day Shift
Position Overview
Join the Labor and Delivery team for a 13-week contract. You'll care for antepartum, labor, and postpartum patients in a busy unit handling 100–300 deliveries monthly. The team manages both routine and high-risk pregnancies with Level I nursery support on site.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 4 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Start: October 19, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks with guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate certification, or C-EFM
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
Clinical Scope
You will work with antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) patients. The unit provides care across the perinatal spectrum, including high-risk obstetrics and newborn resuscitation.
Key Details
- Charting system: Paragon (training provided)
- Floating required in accordance with facility policies and your clinical background; L&D staff do not float to other units as agency staff
- Must complete Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card courses within 30 days of hire (required onboarding)
- Documentation due 2 Mondays prior to start date
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of application; changes post-offer are not approved
