RN – Stepdown Unit, Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the stepdown unit, working nights to provide care for patients transitioning from higher acuity settings.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week (12-hour)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Floating: Available to float to other units as needed, with appropriate orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (in hand at time of application)
- Charge nurse experience required
- Clean background (no DUI hits)
Clinical Environment
You'll care for a diverse patient population with varied diagnoses in a dynamic stepdown setting. Work alongside an interdisciplinary team providing continuity of care for patients progressing toward discharge or transfer.
Charting & Systems
- Charting system: Paragon (training provided)
Onboarding
All new staff complete two required courses within 30 days of start:
- Assaultive Behavior course
- Fire Card course
