Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week contract in an ambulatory surgical setting. This is a day shift position (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week) offering variety across multiple surgical environments.
Clinical Scope
You'll work in general OR, hybrid OR, and trauma surgical cases. The role requires flexibility to float to other units based on clinical needs and facility census, with floats managed in accordance with The Joint Commission standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
- Current California RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
Charting & Systems
Charting system is Paragon; training will be provided.
Important Notes
- You must complete two onsite courses within 30 days of start: Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card certifications.
- Request all time off (RTO) prior to offer acceptance. Time-off requests submitted after an offer is made will not be approved.
- Background check required; DUI history will disqualify candidates.
- Documentation is due two Mondays prior to your start date.
