Labor & Delivery – Night Shift RN

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00–07:00); 4x12 available upon request
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 2, 2026

• Float to other obstetric units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of labor and postpartum nursing experience
• Current RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred

What You'll Do

Care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a busy obstetric environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Labor and fetal monitoring (external and internal)
• Support for vaginal delivery and cesarean sections
• Postpartum and neonatal assessment
• Breastfeeding and lactation support
• Management of high-risk deliveries (preeclampsia, HELLP, preterm labor, placental abruption)
• Neonatal resuscitation and newborn care
• Epidural and pain management support

Unit Environment

The facility provides a comprehensive obstetric program serving neonates, adolescents, and adults. You'll work within an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Orientation & Support

• 36-hour orientation
• 40-hour pre-start modules (non-billable)
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Can be called off once per two-week pay period

Requirements at Submission

• Current valid compact RN license
• 2 professional references (covering past year)
• Specific RTO and scheduling requests (post-offer requests may not be granted)
• Previous experience at this facility network (if applicable)
