Labor & Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for night shift work (19:00–07:00). This is a 26-week contract position, with the option to work 4×12-hour shifts upon request.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Night 3×12-hour (19:00–07:00); 4×12 available by arrangement
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- Float Required: Yes — you may float between like units as needed
- Holiday Commitment: You must work 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Clinical Scope
You will manage the full spectrum of labor and delivery care, including:
- Antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing
- Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- High-risk obstetric cases (pre-eclampsia, placental abruption, preterm labor, HELLP syndrome)
- Fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation
- Patient education and couplet care
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing; labor and postpartum experience is mandatory
- License: Valid Compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Preferred: AWHONN Advanced
Orientation: 36 hours
Scrubs: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
