Position: ICU Nurse – ED Overflow Area

Facility Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: 3 × 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Monday–Wednesday

36 hours per week | 13-week contract

About the Role

The facility is launching a pilot overflow area within the Emergency Department to care for ICU-level patients. This is a unique opportunity to work in a newly opened unit during its initial phase.

You'll provide care for high-acuity patients in a controlled, block-scheduled environment. The Monday–Wednesday schedule allows for consistent staffing and predictable time off.

Requirements

• Active nursing license (Georgia or compact)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
• ICU experience essential
• Emergency Department experience preferred but not required

What We're Looking For

Nurses with a solid ICU foundation who are comfortable adapting to a new clinical setting. Your ability to manage critical patients and collaborate with ED and ICU teams will be valued in this pilot program.
