Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a busy acute-care team serving adults, pediatrics, and neonates across multiple clinical settings. You'll manage 30–40 patient treatments daily in an inpatient and outpatient environment that spans the ER, floors, pediatrics, L&D, nursery, ICU, sleep lab, OR, and PACU.
Clinical Scope
You will draw ABGs, perform occasional EKGs, and assist with intubations. You'll care for patients with STEMI, CVA, COVID-19, arrest, IABP, and other high-acuity conditions. A hospitalist or intensivist is available 24/7.
Schedule & Staffing
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour days per week (36 guaranteed hours)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Rotate with permanent staff
- Call: Typically no call; 30-minute response time if needed
- Floating: No floating to other campuses
- Flexibility: Must be willing to help fill scheduling gaps
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
- Current licensure as RRT
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred)
- Assist-level intubation; independent intubation not required
