Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract working three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll provide respiratory care across a broad spectrum of acute-care units and patient populations.
Clinical Scope
You'll manage 30–40 treatments daily across inpatient and outpatient settings, including the ER, medical/surgical floors, pediatrics, labor & delivery, nursery, ICU, sleep lab, OR, and PACU. Patient populations include adults, pediatrics, and neonates presenting with conditions such as STEMI, CVA, cardiac arrest, IABP support, and COVID-19. You'll draw ABGs, occasionally perform EKGs, and assist with intubations as part of the respiratory care team.
Requirements
- Current RRT licensure
- Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Ability to work every other weekend
- No floating to sister campuses
What to Expect
A supportive environment with a supervisor on-site Monday–Friday and physician coverage 24/7. Two-day department orientation. Typical night shifts have no call requirement, though you may be asked to fill scheduling gaps. Holiday rotation with permanent staff. Dress code: wine burgundy scrubs.
