Cardiac Stepdown Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced cardiac stepdown nurse to join the team in Atlanta, GA. This role offers the opportunity to provide skilled care to patients transitioning from intensive care while maintaining a manageable patient load in a supportive clinical environment.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of acute care nursing experience
- Current, valid Georgia or compact nursing license
- AHA BLS certification
Clinical Focus
You'll care for cardiac patients in a stepdown setting, supporting those recovering from acute cardiac events, post-intervention, or those requiring close monitoring before discharge. The role emphasizes patient education, hemodynamic monitoring, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
What We're Looking For
A nurse with strong cardiac nursing fundamentals, attention to detail in patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively within a structured team environment. Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac protocols is essential.
