Surgery RN – Head & Neck Specialty

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Surgery RN for a specialized head and neck surgical unit. You'll provide direct patient care in general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck procedures, with a focus on complex post-operative management including tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
• 13-week contract with guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Active Georgia or compact RN license (must be in hand)
• AHA BLS certification current
• Strong surgical nursing skills and experience in OR or post-operative care
• Ability to manage complex airway patients and specialized wound care

Clinical Environment

You'll work alongside a surgical team managing patients across general, bariatric, and head and neck specialties. This unit requires skilled assessment and intervention for post-operative complications, airway management, and patient education—particularly for patients adjusting to significant anatomical changes.
