ICU Telemetry Nurse — 13-Week Contract

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Location: West Burlington, IA

About the Role

You'll deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamically monitored patients. Using the full nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—you'll collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team while maintaining professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring and vascular intervention patients
• Coordinate care across the care team
• Perform assessments and interventions for acute and post-procedure patients

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to self-study telemetry strips and pass a Basic Dysrhythmia assessment during the first week (required to work in the ICU)

Schedule Notes

• Occasional on-call availability during low-census periods; must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called

This is a fast-paced critical care environment. You'll need strong clinical judgment, telemetry expertise, and the flexibility to support a team-oriented ICU.
