RN – Emergency Department

Location: Ukiah, CA

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)

Schedule: 36 hours/week with rotating weekends

Contract: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 26, 2026

About the Role

You'll deliver coordinated, evidence-based nursing care in a busy emergency department. This position includes charge nurse responsibilities—you'll supervise and direct nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage patient flow while exercising clinical judgment and professional discretion. Your focus: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning; and delegate appropriately to the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state of assignment)
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Experience in trauma or high-acuity settings a plus

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and providers in a safe, healing environment
• Provide patient and team member education
• Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Manage team duties and coordinate multidisciplinary care

The Setting

The facility's emergency department handles a range of acute care cases and trauma patients. You'll work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and leadership skills.
