Medical-Surgical Float Pool RN – 16-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med Surg RN to join its float pool, rotating across medical-surgical and telemetry units. You'll work 12-hour shifts in a night/day rotation, providing care for acute medical and surgical patients on telemetry monitoring.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 36 per week, 12-hour shifts (7 PM–7 AM / 7 AM–7 PM rotation)
• Weekends: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
• Holidays: Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed

Clinical Scope

You'll float between multiple med-surg telemetry units, caring for patients across the acute medical and surgical spectrum. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as unit assignments may shift based on facility census and acuity needs.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years recent acute med-surg/telemetry hospital experience
• Non-U.S. candidates: 2 years U.S. work experience required
• Residency: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
