Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Mission, TX

This freestanding emergency department in the Mission/McAllen, TX area is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13-week night shift contract. Shifts run 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.

The Role

You'll work in a fast-paced freestanding ED environment managing acute and emergent presentations across all age groups. Clinical responsibilities include , monitoring, point-of-care lab, emergency response procedures, and support for precipitous deliveries. The unit follows established protocols for code blue, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of FSED or ED experience
• Proficiency with difficult IV access, large-bore IVs, blood cultures, and patient monitoring
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• TNCC, ENPC
• NIHSS, CPI

Schedule & Logistics

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Float coverage to ED/FSED areas as needed
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
