Registered Nurse – Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its cardiac catheterization laboratory. You'll provide direct patient care and monitoring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced, specialized environment.

Schedule & Duration

• Full-time, first shift
• 4 x 10-hour days per week
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 2, 2026
• Call coverage required for emergent cases

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic angiograms, PCI/stent placements, and device implants
• Administer medications, sedation, and contrast media per physician orders and protocol
• Assist physicians during procedures in circulating and monitoring roles
• Manage vascular access sites, including sheath removal and hemostasis
• Prepare and educate patients pre-procedure; provide recovery care and discharge instructions
• Recognize and respond to procedural complications (arrhythmias, hemorrhage, vasovagal reactions)
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cath lab technicians, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 1+ years of cardiac catheterization lab experience
• Ability to respond to emergent/on-call cases

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• RCIS certification
