Medical Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift | Milton, MA

Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

About the Unit

This Medical Surgical Telemetry unit cares for a diverse mix of post-surgical patients with overflow of general medical cases. There are no telemetry technicians on this unit — all RNs are expected to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips.

Float coverage between Medical Surgical Telemetry units is required as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med-Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS required

Pre-Acceptance Testing

Candidates must complete and pass two assessments prior to acceptance — administered remotely within 48 hours of confirmation:

• Dysrhythmia exam (20 questions)
• Medication exam (20 questions)
• Passing score: 85% | One attempt only — no retakes or remediation

A study guide with tips will be provided to help candidates prepare.

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions accepted
• Must not have worked at this facility within the past 6 months

Clinical Skills & Certifications

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• BLS, ACLS
• Acute Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing proficiency
