L&D and Postpartum Registered Nurse

Shift: 12-hour nights (7 PM – 7 AM), every other weekend, 36 hours guaranteed per week

Contract: 13 weeks, starting November 3, 2026

About the Role:

You'll work in a combined L&D, well-baby nursery, and postpartum unit managing approximately 30–40 deliveries per month. This role requires you to independently manage labor and delivery, work collaboratively with your team, and care for patients across the full perinatal spectrum.

Clinical Scope:

• High-risk deliveries (35+ weeks gestation)
• Twin deliveries
• Neonatal withdrawal protocols
• Occasional post-op gynecological cases

You will not scrub in for cesarean sections—OR coverage handles this. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7; hospitalist, OB/GYNs, and midwives provide physician support around the clock.

Required Certifications & Experience:

• Current RN license
• BLS, NRP, ACLS
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)
• NCC Certified Inpatient OB (RNC-OB) preferred
• Must have prior L&D and postpartum experience

Schedule Details:

• 2–3 day floor-specific orientation
• Self-scheduling with manager oversight; schedules built 30–45 days in advance
• Minimal floating (rarely to medsurg/CCU, optional)
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
