Cardiac Surgery Operating Room (CVOR) – Travel Position

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Scrub/Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy surgical services department.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Orientation: First week consists of 5x8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri); additional orientation scheduled as needed
• On-Call: 4 call shifts per 13-week contract (days and hours vary)
• Weekend Coverage: On-call basis; no holiday requirement

Required Experience & Credentials

• License: PA or compact state license required at submission
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiac surgery
• Skills (Required):
• Scrub and circulate for cardiac procedures
• CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, aortic dissections, LVADs
• Skills (Preferred): Vascular and thoracic surgery experience (EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, open AAA)
• Certification: BLS required
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate cardiac surgery experience

Clinical Details

• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• OR Suite: 32 operating rooms
• Float Requirement: May float to other OR services (General, Urology, ENT) if cardiac volume decreases; average float frequency approximately once per week
• Scrubs: Provided by the facility
