Medical-Surgical Charge Nurse – 13-Week Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Charge Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total) on the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with the flexibility to start any Monday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit
- Assume charge nurse duties as needed
- Manage wound care and monitor patients on PCA/epidural pain management
- Deliver care to a diverse patient population across varying acuity levels
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (Georgia or compact state license required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Surgical nursing background
- Demonstrated wound care experience
- Familiarity with PCA/epidural management
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
Assignment Details
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia (50-mile radius; non-local travelers only)
- Schedule: Day shift, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
- Scrubs: Navy blue
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: Flexible (every Monday)
