PACU Travel RN – Seasonal Assignment

Position Overview

This is a 13-week seasonal travel assignment in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting. You'll work the evening-to-night shift (3:30 PM – 4:00 AM) providing immediate post-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care.

Unit Details

The PACU manages a high-volume, diverse surgical patient population including spine, general, GI, colorectal, orthopedic, gynecologic, and robotics cases. You'll also care for high-acuity neuro patients, stroke cases, interventional radiology patients, and TAVR procedures. The unit operates across multiple service lines, and RNs float between each area to support varying surgical schedules.

Patient Care & Ratios

• Standard ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
• Same-day surgery patients may be up to 3 at a time
• Staffed to ASPAN standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current PACU hospital experience (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Preferred: stroke care or critical care experience
