Burn ICU – Night Shift RN
Position Overview
The facility's Burn ICU is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a 13-week contract working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 36-hour guaranteed position with potential for extension.
Unit Details
You'll care for adult burn patients across varying acuity levels, from admission through discharge. The unit provides comprehensive burn care including debridement, dressing changes, line and chest tube insertions, and post-operative procedural support. The multidisciplinary team includes dedicated burn surgeons, intensivists, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation specialists, and 24/7 critical care coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- ICU-level nursing experience
- Proficiency with cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic monitoring
- Burn experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH certification
- CRRT training
- ABLS certification
- Hemodynamic drip titration proficiency
Schedule & Staffing
- Three weekend shifts per 4-week cycle
- Float to ICU/PCU/CCU as needed
- Charge nurses, RNs, nurse externs, and paramedics on staff

This is a teamwork-oriented unit known for its experienced, collaborative core staff and family-like atmosphere. The facility is actively pursuing ABA verification as a verified burn center and is travel nurse friendly.
Dress Code
Navy blue scrub top with navy or black pants and jacket required.
