Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 12-week day shift assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across all ages while performing a full scope of nuclear medicine procedures in a busy clinical environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00 (5x8-hour shifts)
- On-Call: 1–2 days per week; every fourth weekend (Mon–Fri 16:00–22:00; Sat–Sun 08:00–22:00)
- Floating: May be called to assist with STAT inpatient cases at other facility locations
- Holidays: Facility observes standard holiday coverage expectations during your assignment
Clinical Scope
You will perform a comprehensive range of nuclear medicine procedures, including:
- HIDA, bone, and lymphoscintigraphy scans
- Gastric emptying and brain death studies
- Myocardial perfusion SPECT
- I-123 uptake scans and I-131 whole-body scans
- I-131 ablations (< 30 mCi)
- Renal scans (with or without Lasix)
- Parathyroid imaging
- Stress testing (adenosine and pharmacological)
- Ventilation/perfusion studies
Requirements
- License/Certification: NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) required; BLS current
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in nuclear medicine; first-time travelers welcome
- Skills: Proficiency with PACS required; familiarity with electronic health records a plus
- Scrubs: Black, gray, or purple
Additional Information
- Contract duration: 12 weeks
- Maximum time off per contract: 7 days (must be finalized at submission)
- Full compliance required prior to start
- Orientation schedule applies per contract length
