About the Unit
The team includes oncology nurses, cell therapy specialists, and support staff working collaboratively in a detail-oriented environment.
Clinical Scope
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments
- Manage blood product transfusions
- Support cell transplant procedures
- Perform frequent lab draws
- Maintain strict adherence to hazardous drug handling protocols
Required Qualifications
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (15.25 contact hours – full certification required, not fundamental)
- Current RN license
- Oncology experience
- Proven competency in chemotherapy administration
Preferred Experience
- BMT background
- CAR-T experience
Unit Culture
Detail-oriented, team-focused environment. Navy scrubs required; no artificial or gel nails; masks required in patient care areas.
