Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Telemetry | Travel RN | Nights | Fort Dodge, IA

This 13-week travel nursing position is based in Fort Dodge, Iowa, supporting a medical-surgical telemetry unit. Night shifts run 12 hours with a 6:45 PM start time.

Unit Overview

You'll function as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing direct patient care in a med/surg telemetry setting. Float assignments within the same nursing discipline across local campuses may be required.

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg, Tele, or Med-Surg Telemetry experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• Proficiency managing cardiac drips, heparin, insulin, and titrated infusions required

Schedule Details

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every third weekend required
• Must be available to work 1–2 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's
• Orientation begins on Mondays

Required Credentials

• Active Iowa RN license
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Charting system proficiency required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• 1 supervisory reference required at submission
• Must not have been employed at this facility system within the last 12 months
• Taxable home address must be 50+ miles from the facility
