CT Technologist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced CT Technologist to join the imaging department on a 13-week contract. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) performing a full range of CT procedures in a fast-paced, clinically dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with radiologists and the CT team.
Clinical Scope
You'll perform CT studies including interventional cases, CT angiography, and advanced 3D reconstructions. You'll administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast; position patients; acquire diagnostic images; and review studies for completeness prior to radiologist interpretation. You'll assist radiologists during interventional procedures and coordinate daily workload across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient schedules while maintaining strict adherence to ALARA radiation safety principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and review CT scans according to department protocol
- Administer contrast and complete pre-exam patient assessments
- Assist with interventional procedures
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and keep workspace organized
- Document accurately in the medical record
- Support 24/7 department coverage as needed
- Complete mandatory competencies and continuing education
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification (ARRT CT Registry eligibility preferred)
- NH Imaging License required
- BLS certification required
- Prior CT scan experience required
Schedule & Call
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Minimal holiday and backup call requirements
- Flexible to support 24/7 coverage needs
Physical demands include lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
