Telemetry RN – Night Shift | Greensburg, PA | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is based in a community hospital setting, supporting a telemetry unit that also manages mixed medical overflow patients. The unit serves an adult and geriatric population with a focus on cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical acuity.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts

• Weekend coverage required
• Float within the facility and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Every other holiday required

Clinical Scope

The unit primarily manages telemetry patients with potential for mixed medical overflow. Common drips include heparin (per protocol), Bumex, Cardizem, nitro, amiodarone (per protocol), and dopamine. No insulin drips; hypoglycemic/insulin protocols are used. Key clinical skills include:

• Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management
• Central line, PICC, and port care
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• Tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound care/wound vac
• Post-TPA care, post-cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac cath
• Stroke (CVA) and traumatic brain injury management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (travel experience required)
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA-issued only; must be current at submission)
• Charting experience required; community hospital experience preferred
• Charge experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Start & Compliance

• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Pre-start modules must be completed before entering the facility
• All compliance cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
