Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nurse for a night shift role in a general medical-surgical unit. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
Clinical Environment
You'll care for a diverse population of medical and surgical patients across varying acuity levels. The unit manages post-operative recovery, acute medical conditions, and monitoring of patients throughout the night shift.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Tennessee)
- Current BLS certification
- Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work independently during night hours on a collaborative team
What to Expect
Night shift nursing in a medical-surgical setting requires strong clinical assessment skills, time management, and the ability to advocate for patients during evening and early morning hours. You'll document care, monitor vital signs, respond to patient needs, and communicate effectively with the day team at shift change.
