Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift contract. You'll work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) providing direct patient care and monitoring on a telemetry unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (required at time of submission)
• Permanent Ohio license or active compact state license in hand
• Successful background check (no open cases or license hits)
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director from work within the past 12 months
• ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate competency (assessed during orientation; maximum 2 attempts to pass)

What You'll Do

Deliver high-quality care to medical and surgical patients on telemetry monitoring. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assume charge responsibilities as needed, and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Additional Information

• Background check (BCI/FBI) must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Drug screen required within 12 months of start; updated annually
• Extensions available up to 18 months; standard 6-month break required thereafter
• Pre-start orientation modules required (6–15 hours average)
