Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Specialist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced CVOR surgical specialist for a 15-week day assignment. You'll work in a busy cardiovascular operating room supporting complex surgical cases in a collaborative, high-acuity environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts (06:30–19:00)
- Weekend coverage: Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday options available
- Call: Variable — typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5–6 weeks
- Float: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Current RN licensure (Georgia or Compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of experience (first-time travelers considered)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Trauma level experience preferred
- Clinical screening required to confirm fit
Clinical Scope
You'll assist with a full range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG)
- Valve replacements and repairs
- Aortic and carotid interventions
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
- Ventricular assist device (VAD) cases
- Thoracic procedures including VATS and lobe resections
Patients include adults and geriatrics with complex cardiac and vascular conditions.

- Holiday coverage expectations apply; major holidays may be required based on assignment dates

- Orientation hours determined by contract length (non-billable)
