Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 12-week day shift assignment. You'll perform a wide range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Call: 1–2 days per week, plus every fourth weekend
- Weekday call: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Weekend call: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- No regular weekend shifts
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract (must be finalized at submission; no requests during orientation week)
Clinical Scope
You'll perform procedures including HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying studies, brain death evaluations, myocardial perfusion SPECT, I-123 uptake scans, I-131 whole-body scans and ablations (<30 mCi), renal scans (with or without Lasix), and parathyroid studies. EKGs are preferred. You may also float to other local facilities for STAT inpatient procedures as needed.
Requirements
- License/Certification: NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years; first-time travelers welcome
- Skills: IV starts and maintenance, pharmacological stress administration, multi-phase imaging
Systems & Environment
- Scrub color: Black, gray, or purple
- PACS required; will orient to facility systems
Holiday Policy
If 1–2 major holidays fall during your assignment, you'll work both. If 3 fall during your assignment, you'll work 2.
Compliance: Full onboarding and clinical screening required before start date.
