Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist to provide direct support in the operating room. You'll implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team, coordinate care across disciplines, and execute physician and nursing orders with precision. This role requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment.
Unit & Scope
You'll work in the cardiovascular operating room supporting open heart procedures. Experience with open heart surgery is essential for this position.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, four 10-hour days per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 1, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Required Qualifications
- Current NBSTSA Certification (must have)
- Open heart surgery experience required
- Valid license/certification verification
- Adherence to Standard Precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
