Critical Care Nurse – Cardiovascular & Vascular
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse for a 13-week contract on the cardiovascular and vascular unit. This is a day shift role (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Clinical Setting
You'll provide care for post-operative and vascular patients in a high-acuity critical care environment. The facility maintains comprehensive cardiovascular services including open heart surgery and interventional cardiology programs. You'll work alongside an experienced team managing complex post-surgical patients, hemodynamically unstable cases, and those requiring advanced monitoring and intervention.
Requirements
- Current RN license (North Carolina)
- Prior critical care experience required
- Post-operative or vascular nursing background essential
- ACLS certification
What You'll Do
- Continuous patient monitoring and assessment
- Post-operative wound and cardiac management
- Vascular access care and assessment
- Collaboration with surgeons, cardiologists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Documentation and care coordination
